Fourth Annual RINGSIDE – A Fight For Kids Set For March 14

Nashville (November 5, 2007) - For the fourth straight year the Charley Foundation will present RINGSIDE – A Fight For Kids, Nashville's premier charity boxing event, at The Factory At Franklin on March 14 . This year's celebrity Boxing Legend is former World Heavy Weight Champion, Larry Holmes. Famed ring announcer, Michael “Let’s Get Ready To RUMBLE” Buffer will be on hand to kick the night off and Storme Warren, host of Country Music Across America on GAC, will once again be on hand as the Master of Ceremonies.

This year, in addition to three bouts of professional fights sanctioned by the Tennessee Racing and Boxing Program, the Charley Foundation is taking their fight for children in need directly to Music Row For the first time, Warner Bros. Records and Columbia Records promo extraordinaire' Gator Michaels and Jimmy Rector will be hitting the ring.

Odds are being tabulated as we speak on who might win the exhibition fight between Michaels and Rector. For years they have gone head-to-head after adds for their artists on country radio. Now they are going to duke it out to raise money for an even BIGGER cause...Children In Need.

"I have never considered myself a fighter but I will fight for the Charley Foundation," said Gator Michaels. "I hear Rector is practicing his left hook, hoping to broadside me but I am prepared to take him head on."

Rector replied, "Gator will never see the left hook coming. It’s the Jab UP he needs to worry about. All the children we will be helping, will lift me high enough to look him in the eye. Then hit him in it."

In addition, the evening will be filled with music by some of Nashville’s biggest songwriters along with Live and Silent Auctions.
