Kristopher's Wish...

This is the story of Kristopher’s wish, made possible with the generous support of the Charley Foundation and the Lee Family. Kristopher is a 16 year-old from Cornersville, Tennessee, who’s been undergoing treatment for osteosarcoma. He has 3 brothers, ages 9, 13, and 14. His parents are divorced, and he lives with his mother and step-father, but all of them came together for Kris’s wish. Kris loves video games and Christian rock music, and especially enjoys gaming with his Dad—it’s one of the ways that they stay close.
Kris's wish - to go on an electronics shopping spree — came true this spring, and included a limo ride to Cool Springs mall, plus special treatment all day long. He bought an X-Box 360, lots of video games, i-tunes gift cards, and several movies, including the Star Wars trilogy. Kris says he chose this wish because video games and music are things that allow him to escape from his illness, and spend recreational time playing with his Dad and his brothers. Kristopher had surgery in March, and continues to go through chemotherapy. His wish granter (volunteer) writes: “The wish was a very special event for Kris. We had never seen him smile, until the wish day. All day long he was beaming and so excited. His family seemed to really come together to support him and share in his celebration. Kris got everything he wanted and more.”
