Center for Courageous Kids names their Music Room in honor of Carolyn Miller and the Charley Foundation
The Center for Courageous Kids is proud to announce the official naming of
their Music Room in honor of Carolyn Miller and the Charley Foundation.
"We are very pleased to bestow this honor on Carolyn and her Foundation in
grateful appreciation of the generous support they have shown to our area's
bravest children," said Roger Murtie, President of The Center of Courageous
Kids. The Charley Foundation has continued to raise funds and awareness for
CCK over the past several years and most recently sponsored a Camp Charley
Fall Family Weekend retreat. We are extremely thankful for their support.
The Center for Courageous Kids is a year-round state of the art medical camp
for seriously ill children. Opened since February 2008, to date they have
welcomed over 1,900 seriously ill children and their family members.
Children from 17 states with almost 60 different diagnosis have been served.
The stellar $20 million facility is located in Scottsville, KY 24 miles
southeast of Bowling Green, KY, and just 65 miles northeast of Nashville,
TN.
Because of support from individuals, businesses, medical partners and
foundations like the Charley Foundation children are able to attend the camp
free of charge.
The naming of the Music Room in particular is of special significance to
Carolyn and her Foundation as they are such a part of the Nashville music
community. This room will proudly display the naming plaque in perpetuity
in humble recognition and thanks to Carolyn Miller and The Charley
Foundation.
