On March 13th, two of the most accomplished boxers to compete out of Nashville will square off in an exceptional exhibition bout.

Jonathan Reid and Vinroy Barrett, both of whom have participated in the network television program “The Contender”, will go for 8 rounds in their first ever non-sparring match-up. For both old and new boxing fans this should be a great treat.

Jonathan a native of Nashville has a sterling record which includes a try at the jr. middleweight in 2000. Jonathan is acknowledged to be one of the hardest punchers in this extremely competitive division. As a member of the first season of “The Contender” Jonathan made countless of fans across the country in addition to his wide following in Nashville. Jonathan continues to pursue his championship dreams while at the same time being one of the top personal trainers in the area.

Vinroy "Slick" Barrett has truly earned his nick name as he is one of the slickest fighters you will ever see. After a brilliant career in his native Jamaica where he was a member of the national team Vinroy made his way to Nashville where he has earned a reputation as one of the best fighters in both the welterweight and jr. middleweight divisions. Vinroy was part of the second season of “The Contender”. An unfortunate rotator cuff injury sidelined him for a year but he has come back in full and is ready to showcase his talents.

Jonathan "Reiddawg" Reid and Vinroy "Slick" Barrett will put on one heck of a show for all who are fortunate enough to attend March 13th.
